Astroweather Transits and Forecasts
What's Up!

In reporting astrological transits and forecasts, I place some emphasis on what is actually visible to our eyes, when possible. Taking some time to look at the stars at night will not only reconnect us to the wonders of our place in the universe, but give us an opportunity to more directly feel the impacts of planetary activity, as well as being more open to natural wisdom as it comes through.

We all experience the general cosmic conditions, but at any time some more than others, depending on the resonance with the individual birth chart.

Confused about how the cosmic conditions might relate to you? Email me with your birth information, including date, place and time. I will email you back a free, color astrology birth chart, with a brief summary about how to use it with current transits.

Longterm Transits and Forecasts

Astrological transits are related to sacred geometry and the relationship created by the angles between two or more planets or other points in space. The angle creates a resonance between the energies of these two points.

Forecasts describe the general “cosmic weather” that we all experience with the different resonances. As we stand under and within these energies, some of us are more influenced by them than others if they also happen to connect up to points in our natal birth charts, forming an angle and thus also forming a particular energetic resonance.

These energetic resonances are neither good nor bad, but can be used and experienced in higher or lower ways. The knowledge that astrology gives us is the power to choose how we “work the energies” and so determine the flavor of our lives.

Transit and Forecast Headlines

Solar Flares and a Grand Trine this week!

You may be noticing that we have an M class solar flare gong on. This is medium sized activity, solar flares being caused when magnetic field energy suddenly bursts, releasing radiation across the electromagnetic spectrum and definitely affecting us here on Earth.

This is coinciding with a grand trine involving Mars in Aries, Jupiter in Sagittarius and Saturn in Leo. So this is a charged and active week! It can be good for going after what you want and success, and it may also bring impulsiveness, irritability, mind-body disconnects and cell phone troubles. A very stimulating week!

Venus in Leo

On Tuesday, June 5, Venus - still the bright evening star in the west - moves Cancer into Leo until July 14 when she moves into Virgo.

Aphrodite wants to shine! What makes us special and unique and can we just love that without looking outside of ourselves for that love? The forecast for the next six weeks are particularly wonderful for Leos. Look to where Leo falls in your chart to see where Venus will be bestowing her gifts, including financial and relationship.

For the next six weeks, Venus shines down upon us the energies of optimism, a positive outlook, and remembering not to take anyone for granted. Spend some time doing whatever it is you love, with your loved one or the people you love. There is a lot of more difficult energy we are also contending with, so my hope is that where you need it, Venus will bring some happiness.

My fantasy is relaxing for a week somewhere near and ocean or waterfront, in a romantic setting, eating the best food, listening to the best music, and remembering that life is really good.

Mercury in Cancer

An extra long stay because of three weeks in retrograde, Mercury moved into Cancer's home on May 29, is retrograde from June 16 - July 9, and then moves forward to enter Leo on August 4, 1007.

Our communication my take on a more emotional tone, one where we may express only when we feel like it. Cancer crawls inward naturally, and Mercury will also be retrograde in this sign. For more information, see Mercury Retrograde Strikes Again!

Chiron Retrograde can sometimes bring luck!

On May 21, Chiron began moving backwards, or retrograde, at 15 degrees Aquarius. If you have points in your chart say between 12 – 18 ish of Aquarius, you will notice this inward time of redoing and reflecting which could include some great luck and can also include further exposure of deep wounds to be healed.

Neptune turns stationary retrograde. May the Force be with us!

Neptune turns stationary retrograde on May 24 / 25 at 22 degrees of Aquarius.

Whenever a planet is stationary, it appears to be perfectly motionless from our perspective. The energies of that planet are then beaming down upon us with extra intensity.

With Neptune, an effect some of us have already noticed if we are Neptune sensitive may be a slight depression. The pull to go inward and dissolve everything that doesn’t feel right is strong. It is OK to let go anything that no longer works, even if you aren’t sure what will replace it.

Neptune is also very much about disillusionment, and it’s interesting that Venus is trine Uranus on May 24 and inconjunt Pluto on June 3. Uranus can be shock and trauma; it can be liberation towards a new and better sense of relationships, or self worth. There are many different ways that this configuration can play out, including both disillusionment in a relationship or moving into more upgraded ways of being in relationship, with others and yourself. This energy will be particularly strong for those with planets, angles or nodes in the mid degrees of Cancer specifically but also Capricorn, Aries and Libra, as well as the mid to late degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo and Pisces.

Saturn turns direct!

Saturn takes two and a half years to go through a sign, so this is one of the cycles of Father Time. It is a cycle of deepening maturity, growing up a little more, and where the karmic structures of our lives change in some manner.

Saturn has been in the sign of Leo since July 23, 2005, and is now getting ready to finish its last leg of the journey before moving into Virgo in September. It is turning direct on Friday, April 19th, and virtually standing still in the sky through April before picking up a little speed on its travels forward.

We have seen typical Leo issues in the forefront politically with leadership scrutiny and changes, possibly leading up to the actual impeachment of Bush this summer.

Children and creative self expression are also Leo themes, and I know that in my own life, my eldest daughter, Hawk, soon to be 20 and a student at the University of Colorado, is moving into her own place for the first time this August. This will be a huge shift for our little family on many levels, but the timing is perfect. For many there have also been the themes of personal self expression and creativity feeling limited or held back in some way, and this is a natural time to move forward with what the last two years have revealed in those areas. Hopefully we have reached deeper understanding of our personal creative purpose, and can now be willing to let go and trust that by embracing it, both our needs and the collective needs will be served.

Our beliefs and conditionings have also been challenged and we are now ready to move forward with whatever we have been processing, whether it be a new relationship or relationship needs, job, project, house, money, ways of communicating, philosophical system, letting go, or deepening of our ever present work of understanding self-love and its importance in accepting and loving everything outside of us. What has been going on for you in the last two years?
