Watching the Moon

This page and calendar tracks the lunar phases, signs, and void of course times.

The Moon looks exactly the same size as the Sun as viewed from Earth, and its orbit is synchronized to the Earth’s, which is why we only see one side. It is bigger than Pluto! Some scientists think it is more like a planet, referring to the Earth-Moon system as a "double planet" similar to Pluto and its moon Charon. The orbit is associated with power, protection and ethereal energies.

The Moon changes signs about every 2.5 days, so tracking its energies is one of the best ways I know to reconnect to nature, our place in nature, natural law, the wonder of life and the miracle of our place in it. I think for the world to get healthy we have to individually get healthy, and that includes slowing down enough to be reflective of our feelings and what they are telling us! The Moon is the archetypal symbol of our feelings and emotional body, what we need and where we feel security.

Moon feeling and watching can be a fun way to experience the different energies of the signs and explore how they affect you.

Do you know your Moon sign? Email me with your birth information, including date, place and time. I will email you back a free,  color astrology birth chart.

CURRENT MOON
Void of Course Moons: This is the period of time right before the Moon changes signs when it does not make "contact" with any other planet. There can be a feeling of disconnection as we are readjusting our focus from the energies of one sign to another. It's not a bad thing, but better handled if one can also float, without specific plans or agendas.

That said, I personally find I have more freedom and ability to get done exactly what is needed during these times, but maybe it's just me!

All times referenced are Eastern. Subtract 1 hr. for Central, 2 hrs. for Mountain and 3 hrs. for Pacific.
